"Altar Call"
The altar call is normally what happens at the end of a service, the speaker says like if you want to devote you life to Christ make you way to the front.. Its like a way for them to get to know you and for you to recieve prayer and such. hmm well i have sorta grown up with that? I got to Emmaunuel and I have been to Falls Creek where there it a big deal.. I think sometimes it can be like a way or just make a big deal but i also think if you use it in the right way you can see you has came to the altar and keep accountable your fellow people who have just given there life to Christ you know? well thats what i think :)
Nat
I agree Natalie it is a great way to hold people accountable to their promises.
ReplyDeleteYes Natalie sometime people just go down for attention when they really do not mean it they jsut go down for everyone to look at them.
ReplyDeleteI have experienced the Falls Creek ones too and I agree that they can be done right and be a good thing for keeping people accountable but at the same time it must be carefully conveyed that walking the aisle doesnt save you.
ReplyDeletethe alter is different for everybody. we all come from different ways and different views. we all do it different ways. its kinda a random thing to think about. but like some people jsut do it for looks and some to it serious. so it all depends.
ReplyDeletei have also grown up with this in my church so it is a big deal, so i think it should be for giving yourself to God or for if you need pray. so good job
ReplyDeleteGood job Natalie! I agree that if it is used right, it can be a good thing! We just have to be careful it is right! It is a great way to make your salvation public.
ReplyDeleteGood Job Nat!:) I aslo went to Falls Creek, and it was a big deal there, we just have to be careful the speaker isn't trying to munipulate people into coming to know God. I agree with you:)
